Airing down before a beach run is the difference between floating over soft sand and digging yourself into it, but doing it with a key on the valve stem means kneeling at each wheel, guessing, and checking with a gauge. These screw-on deflators do the guessing for you: set them, fit them, walk away.

Set the pressure once, then do all four wheels together

Each deflator holds a valve core you can dial to a target pressure in 3 psi steps. Screw one onto each tyre and air starts venting straight away, stopping on its own when the tyre reaches the level you set. Because there are four in the pack, all four tyres come down at the same time instead of one at a time, and nobody is standing over a single wheel with a gauge in one hand. They thread on and off by hand, so there is no key, no spanner and nothing to drop in the sand.

Brass, because valve stems live in a hostile spot

Wheel wells cop salt spray, bull dust, mud and heat coming off the brakes, and cheap plated fittings seize onto the stem thread within a season. Brass does not rust, and it stays soft enough that it will not chew out an alloy or rubber valve stem when wound on hard. The supplier describes the cores as high-heat, high-pressure items, which matters after a long highway leg when the tyres are hot. At 40 mm long and 15 mm across, the set drops into the supplied bag and lives in the console.
