Four Gen 3.0 tracks let you put a board under every wheel carrying weight, so traction arrives everywhere simultaneously instead of one end shoving against a still-buried other end. Flex, and why it matters in soft sand

Ground that swallows a wheel is rarely flat underneath. X-BULL specifies added flexibility in the Gen 3.0 nylon compound, which lets a 1060 mm board settle into the contour beneath it rather than spanning a hollow and carrying the vehicle across two high points. The same compound is specified for tensile and compressive strength, fatigue and corrosion resistance, heat stability and UV resistance. That last property matters most for boards that live outdoors on a rack under Australian sun.

Two totes, four leashes, two pin sets

The small parts of a board kit decide whether you still enjoy using it in three years. Leashes save digging a driven-over board out by hand. Totes stop four filthy tracks going straight into the back of the wagon. The pins put all of it on the roof and out of the way. Read this before the first use

• X-BULL quotes 10 tonnes on flat ground. It is a supplier figure with no named standard and no separate working load limit, so use it as a ceiling on vehicle weight over level, supported ground.
• Clear sand or mud from in front of each tyre and push the board hard against the tread before driving. A board sitting loose in front of a wheel gets shoved away rather than driven onto.
• Steady, low throttle. Spinning a tyre on the driving face melts it, ruins the grip pattern and can launch the board rearwards.
• Bystanders, kids and dogs stay well outside the vehicle's path and away from the ground behind each board.
• Walk the boards out afterwards and check them. Anything cracked, gouged through or heat-glazed is finished.
• A board is a traction aid and nothing more. No towing, snatching or winching load should ever be put through one, and no strap or shackle should be attached to one.
