Getting a pallet of stock from floor height up to a truck tray usually means two people and a sore back by lunchtime. This T-Rex double scissor trolley takes the platform from 35 cm off the ground to 1.3 metres on a foot pedal, so the load comes up to you instead of the other way around.

Why the double scissor matters

A single scissor mechanism runs out of travel quickly. Stacking two sets of arms doubles the geometry, which is how this trolley reaches 130 cm from a 35 cm resting height — bench height, truck-bed height, or the top shelf of a racking bay. That figure is quoted for the trolley as a whole, with no separate rating given for the platform at full extension versus its lowest setting, so treat 300 kg as the ceiling at any height and keep well inside it. Load centred, not overhanging one corner. The frame is high-tensile steel alloy with every component powder-coated, which matters less for looks than for the scissor pivots — surface rust in a pivot is what turns a smooth lift into a jerky one.

Moving it around a tight workshop

Four 5-inch castors carry the trolley: two fixed at one end for tracking straight, two swivelling with brakes so it stays put once positioned. The handle lifts off, which drops the storage footprint to roughly the size of the frame itself. At 98 kg this is not something to carry up a step, so plan where it lives before it arrives. Working safely around a raised platform

• Never place hands, feet or any part of your body under a raised platform. Lower it fully before adjusting the load or working on it.
• Keep the load centred on the table and inside the stated 300kg / 660lb maximum.
• This is a material handling trolley, not a vehicle lift. Do not use it to raise or support a vehicle.
• Set both castor brakes before loading, unloading or raising.
• Assembly is required — check every fastener is tight before the first lift, and again after a few uses.
