Tying the wheel to the seat belt takes a different approach to a bar across the rim. The cable anchors the wheel to a fixed point inside the cabin, so the wheel cannot be turned through and the belt cannot be used by whoever is sitting there.
Braided cable inside a PVC sleeve
The working part is braided steel wire rather than a solid bar, which lets it loop through a wheel spoke and around the belt without matching any particular wheel shape. The supplier describes the wire as 5 mm and as thicker than competing products in the same breath, so the wording is ambiguous about whether 5 mm is the diameter or the difference — take it as the supplier's figure, not a verified measurement. A PVC hose slides over the braid so bare wire never rubs the rim or chafes belt webbing.
Where it earns its keep
A cable lock suits a vehicle that sleeps somewhere different most nights: a work ute on site, a car in long-term airport parking, a tow vehicle at a showground. The cable adjusts, so the same lock goes onto a small hatchback wheel or a four-spoke 4WD wheel unchanged. Fitting is a loop, a thread through the belt, a turn of the key. Three keys come with it, so one can stay with a second driver.
Key features
- Braided steel cable: flexes around any wheel shape instead of clamping to a fixed rim size.
- PVC sleeve: keeps bare wire off the rim finish and off the belt webbing.
- Adjustable length: pulls slack out so wheel and belt are held tight together.
- Three keys: one each for two drivers and a spare left at home.

What to check first
- The lock depends on your seat belt and its anchorage. If the belt retracts unusually or the buckle sits low in the seat, test the arrangement before relying on it.
- Sold as universal with no vehicle list, so confirm the cable reaches from your wheel to your belt with slack to spare.
- No cut, pull or attack resistance figure is published and no security standard is named. This is a deterrent, not a certified device.
- Take it off before driving and keep the cable clear of the airbag cover when fitted.
Best treated as a second visible layer alongside the car's own immobiliser.
