Why the Raptor gets its own part number

Same generation, same cab, different chairs. The Raptor's front seats are not the ones fitted to XL, XLS, XLT and Wildtrak, and a cover cut to another grade's shape will not sit down properly over them — it bags where it should be tight and drags at the seams. That is why the store carries two Ranger sets rather than one. This one is V121-PMERP104. The four-grade set is V121-PMERG104, and it will not do the job here.

The damage nobody notices until year ten

Raptors get kept. They also spend their lives outdoors, and the trim pays for it: ultraviolet through the side glass bleaches the outer shoulder of the driver's backrest, while sunscreen, sweat and dust work into the fabric from the other direction. None of that is dramatic on any given weekend, and all of it is obvious at year ten. Covering the seats early is the only cheap version of this problem.
