The feet carry about 50 mm (2 in) of adjustment for variation between model years.

Two mounting methods described, so check your roof

The supplier's copy contradicts itself. One line says the bars fit the original holes in the roof with no drilling; another describes a clamp gripping the side rails. Those are two different roofs, and a Forester can leave the factory with raised rails, flush rails or covered fixing points. Photograph your roof line and send it through before ordering.
