Not every attachment ends in a quick-connect plug. Jetter hoses, spare trigger guns, chemical injectors and older nozzles often finish in a screwed NPT thread instead. This adapter lets that gear go onto a machine set up for quick couplers: one end a 1/4 inch quick disconnect plug, the other a 1/4 inch female NPT fitting.

Push the plug end into the coupler at your washer outlet, wand or gun, and a threaded socket is left facing outward. Anything carrying a 1/4 inch male NPT tail winds straight into it. NPT is a tapered imperial pipe thread with nothing in common with the M22 metric fittings found elsewhere on washer gear, so establish which standard your equipment uses before ordering.

Made for joints that come apart often

Repetition is the argument for the fitting: high-pressure connections assembled and broken again and again. A coupler does in a second what a spanner does in a minute, and the supplier states that a solid connection is made each time and leakage avoided. Stainless steel is the listed material, called rustproof and corrosion-proof — the supplier's words, not a verified claim. Adapters remain the usual weak point, so watch the seal over the first few uses.
