M22 comes in two sizes that look identical in the hand and will not seal on one another: 14 mm and 15 mm. Almost every pressure washer hose that turns up and refuses to go on is this mismatch. Both pieces here exist to bridge it.
Which piece does which conversion
Two items are supplied and they are not interchangeable. The M22 pressure washer fitting converts a 3/8 inch NPT male thread to an M22 14 mm male fitting, described as connecting a 3/8" NPT pressure washer gun to an M22 14 mm pressure washer hose. The pressure washer adapter converts M22 15 mm female to M22 14 mm male. Neither piece converts a 15 mm male or accepts a 14 mm female.
Brass, and the figure behind the pressure claim
The M22 male adapter is brass, which the supplier credits for its resistance to corrosion. On pressure, its wording is that the maximum working pressure of the M22 adapter is up to 4500 PSI. That figure applies to that one item, in the supplier's unit, reproduced without conversion. No test or standard is named behind it.
Machines the supplier names
The M22 14 mm fitting is stated to be compatible with Generac, Simpson, Briggs Stratton, Craftsman, Karcher and Ryobi pressure washers, and the M22 15 mm fitting with Sun Joe, Campbell, MI-T-M, AR Blue, Stanley, Cleanforce, Simoniz and Excell power washers. Those lists are the supplier's. A brand absent from them is not covered, and models change fittings, so measure.

Check your threads first
- Measure the M22 spigot across its diameter. 14 mm and 15 mm are the whole decision and cannot be forced together.
- The 3/8 inch NPT thread is called metric in the supplier's text. NPT is an imperial tapered thread, so treat that as an error rather than a specification.
- Test at low pressure, gun pointed somewhere safe, before working at full flow.
