Cold-rolled steel, braced against sway

Long beams are 2 mm cold-rolled steel, and the supplier rates the rack at a maximum load capacity of 550 lb. What stops a loaded platform swinging is the bracing, not the beam alone: diagonal braces run from the ceiling brackets down to the frame and the crossbeams are reinforced, so weight is triangulated back into the mounting points rather than hanging off one joint. The powder coat earns its keep where ladders knock the frame and damp concrete encourages rust.

Set the drop to clear your roller door

Height adjusts between 22 and 40 in, so the rack hangs low in a high shed or tucks up tight where a roller door eats the headroom. At full spread it offers up to 60 cu ft of storage. Assembly runs in sequence: drill through the supplied template, fit the ceiling brackets, then columns, beams and braces, and drop the decking on.
