These are covers rather than pads in their own right. Each one stretches over the hook-and-loop backing pad already fitted to your polisher or sander, so the machine keeps its own mounting and swapping to a clean face takes seconds. Before you fit these

• Measure your backing pad first. The title quotes a 9-10 inch fit while the supplier's own spec line reads 22 x 22 x 0.5 cm, and those two figures do not agree. We have not reconciled them, so confirm your pad size before ordering.
• Fit the bonnet squarely and check it is seated before switching on. A bonnet that is off-centre will unbalance the machine at speed.
• Wash them out before the fleece dries hard with product in it, and follow the label of whatever wax or sealant you are using.

A consumable you will get through, so buying them five at a time makes sense.
