Kartrite 1.2m 7 Tonne Container Ramp

Getting a forklift or a vehicle in and out of a shipping container is where improvised timber and pallet stacks get people hurt. This is a purpose-built container ramp: 4 mm steel plate with welded reinforcing ribs, rated to 7 tonnes, and short enough at 1.2 m to sit against a container lip without eating half the yard.

Built from plate, not folded sheet

The deck is 4 mm steel with reinforcing ribs running underneath, which is what lets a 135 kg ramp carry seven tonnes rolling across it. There is no timber to rot and no bolted joints to work loose, and the full 2.25 m width means a forklift can drive on square without a spotter walking the tyres onto the edge.

A gradient that actually works

Maximum ramp height is 165 mm over a 1.2 m run — a shallow enough gradient that low-clearance loads and small-wheeled equipment climb it without grounding out or bouncing the tynes. On container work the approach angle is usually the limiting factor rather than the weight rating, which is exactly what a short, low ramp is built to solve.

Because of its weight and size, delivery on this item is limited. The ramp must be loaded onto a suitable vehicle by forklift only. Under OHS regulations it cannot be manually handled in any way whatsoever during collection or delivery, so if you request delivery you must have a forklift available to unload the delivery vehicle.
