Loading a few hundred kilograms into a ute tray by hand is the sort of job that ends with a strained back or a dropped load. A tray-mounted hydraulic crane with a swivel base turns it into one person's work: lift off the ground, rotate over the tray, lower away.
Capacity that changes with the boom
This is the number to read twice. The supplier's specification list gives a two-stage adjustable load arm rated 450/900 kg, while the body text of the same listing says the lifting capacity is 225 kg extended and a maximum of 900 kg retracted. Those two statements do not agree on the extended figure, so both are published here exactly as the supplier wrote them rather than averaged into something neither of them says. The 900 kg headline applies with the boom fully retracted in both versions. Settle the extended rating against the manual before you lift anywhere near it.
Bolted down, then it swings
A 27 x 27 cm base plate with eight mounting holes fixes to a tray, a trailer deck or any solid surface, and everything above it rotates through a full 360 degrees. The boom telescopes from 100 cm to 140 cm, a hand winch runs 7.5 m of 4 mm cable, and the hook reaches 1900 mm off the ground at full height. The pump is manual, so nothing stops working when a battery goes flat. Assembled it weighs 49 kg and ships in two boxes.
Key features
- Manual hydraulic pump: no vehicle power, no battery draw, nothing to wire in.
- 360-degree rotating ring: pick up beside the vehicle and swing over the tray without moving it.
- Two-position load arm: 100 cm retracted or 140 cm extended, with the rating changing accordingly.
- Hand winch and chain hook: 7.5 m of cable, enough to reach well below tray height.
- Collapsible frame: folds down when the tray is needed for something else.
Specifications
- Maximum load capacity: 2000LBS (900kg), supplier's stated maximum with the boom retracted
- Load arm rating, specification list: 2-stage adjustable load arm, 450/900 kg
- Load arm rating, body text: 225 kg extended, 900 kg retracted — this conflicts with the line above
- Total height from ground: 215 cm
- Hook height: 1900 mm
- Load arm length: min. 100 cm / max. 140 cm
- Cable: 7.5 m winding length, 4 mm rope
- Base mounting plate: 27 x 27 cm with 8 mounting holes
- Maximum opening of large hooks: 20 mm
- Maximum opening of small hooks: 23 mm — the supplier lists the "large" hook with the smaller opening, so check both against your sling or chain
- Weight: 49 kg (2 boxes)
- Operation: manual hydraulic pump with hand winch

Before the first lift
- Never stand under a suspended load or reach beneath one, and keep everyone clear of the swing arc. A hydraulic crane holds a load; it does not make it safe to be underneath.
- The mounting surface carries everything. Bolt through all eight holes into real structure, not tray sheet alone, and check your vehicle's payload and tray ratings first.
- The extended-boom rating is contradictory in the supplier's own text, at 225 kg in one place and 450 kg in another. Until the manual settles it, work to the lower figure.
- No AS/NZS, CE or other test standard is named for this crane in the supplied information. Do not assume one applies.
- Chock the wheels and work on level ground. A load swung out to one side shifts the vehicle's balance.
Suited to ute trays, trailers and yards where a hoist has to be portable and hand-driven. Confirm your mounting structure and the load figures against the manual before the first lift.
