On a rural block the water is rarely where it is needed. Filling a header tank off a dam, clearing a flooded shed, holding pressure on a hose line during a fire season: it comes down to how far a pump can push. This one is rated at 115 m of lift.
Two impellers do the climbing
Head is what separates a transfer pump from a fire pump. A second impeller behind the first pressurises the water twice on its way through, and the supplier rates that arrangement at 115 m of lift and 20 m³/h discharge. Suction is a far smaller number: 7 m is how far up the pump can draw before it stops priming, so it wants to sit close to the waterline. Inlet and outlet are listed as 50/50 x 1 + 40 x 2 mm.
A Honda four-stroke underneath
The engine is an air-cooled 196 ml overhead-valve single, on a 25° incline. The supplier quotes 3.7 kW at 3600 rpm and 12.4 N·m at 2600 rpm. Recoil starting leaves no battery to go flat between fire seasons, and an oil alert stops the engine if the level falls, heading off the failure that kills most pumps left running at the far end of a hose.
Key features
- Twin impeller: both the 115 m lift and 20 m³/h discharge figures apply to this configuration.
- Low-oil shutdown: the engine cuts itself rather than running its bearings dry.
- 3.6 L fuel tank: refuelling stops stay predictable on a long job.
- Steel cradle frame: 28 kg dry, so two people can lift it onto a ute tray.

Before you run it
- A petrol engine produces carbon monoxide. Run the pump in the open, well away from tents, sheds, caravans and open windows, and never inside an enclosed pump house.
- Stop the engine and let it cool before refuelling. Keep naked flame and cigarettes clear of the filler, and wipe up spilled petrol before restarting.
- Check the oil at every start. The low-oil shutdown is a backstop, not a substitute for the dipstick.
- The supplier names no fire-fighting standard or approval for this pump. If it forms part of a bushfire plan, confirm the requirements with your local fire authority first.
Supplied as one unit with its manual, ready for transfer, irrigation and dewatering work.
For returns due to change of mind, a 20% restocking fee will be applied.
