These two lidded bins hang off a door track or a seat back and take the wet items as well as the dry — apple cores, used wipes, a dripping drink lid — without any of it reaching the trim.

Wet rubbish stays where you put it

The shell is moulded ABS, a rigid plastic that keeps its shape when something warm and wet goes in, and the supplier rates the bin as waterproof rather than merely water-resistant. That is the whole point of a car bin: a paper bag or a fabric pouch fails the first time half a milkshake lands in it. The mouth is wide enough to get a hand and a cloth down to the base, so it doesn't become something you throw away.

Hangs where the rubbish happens

A hook on the back drops over a door-card track, a seat-back rail or a similar fixing, which puts the bin within reach of whoever is generating the rubbish instead of in the footwell where it gets kicked over. Two are supplied, so the front and the back each get one — the usual reason a single car bin fails is that nobody in the second row can reach it. The lid folds back while you eat, then closes to hold the smell in.
