Steering wheel covers come loose for one reason: the rim they went onto was the wrong diameter. This one is cut for wheels measuring 37 to 39 cm across, and that figure is the first thing to check against your own car. A tape measure laid across the outside of the rim, edge to edge, settles it in ten seconds.
37 to 39 centimetres, measured across the rim
Most passenger cars fall inside that band, but plenty of vehicles do not — older 4WDs and light commercials often run a larger wheel, some small hatchbacks a smaller one. Measure rather than assume. A cover cut for 37 cm will not stretch onto a 42 cm rim, and the same cover on a 34 cm wheel is loose from the day it goes on. No other fitment detail is published for this item, so the diameter is the whole of it.
Microfibre over a rubber backing
The face is microfibre leather and the supplier describes the backing as environmentally friendly rubber. That combination is what gives the cover its body and what holds it against the rim underneath. It is also why a wheel that has spent the day in an open car park is less unpleasant to take hold of than bare plastic. Stitching runs the full circumference rather than being bonded at points, which is where the cheapest covers give up first.
Key features
- 37-39 cm fit: the only fitment specification the supplier publishes.
- Microfibre leather face: covers a worn or sun-damaged rim without a retrim.
- Rubber backing: enough substance that the cover holds its shape.
- Stitched right around: a continuous seam rather than spot bonding.
- No tools: worked onto the rim by hand.

Fitting checks that matter
- A cover has to go on tight. Once it is fitted, take hold of it and try to twist it around the rim. If it moves at all, the size is wrong and it should come straight off.
- A loose cover is a hazard. It can rotate under your hands mid-corner and take the wheel's feel with it.
- Keep it clear of the centre pad. The airbag module and horn sit there and nothing should overlay them.
- No improvement to grip, handling or steering control is claimed here. The supplier's copy says otherwise, with no test behind the claim.
- Check that nothing fouls the indicator stalks, paddle shifters or wheel-mounted buttons once it is on.
Measure the rim first. That one step decides whether this works or does not.
