Tipping a 200 litre drum of oil is a two-person job that ends with a slick across the shed floor. A hand-operated drum pump sits in the bung and lifts fluid out under your own effort — no power lead, no siphon hose in your mouth, the drum never off the ground.
Three tubes to reach the bottom of the drum
The suction tube telescopes through three aluminium stages, 11.8 in to 35.4 in (roughly 30 cm to 90 cm), locking with buckles, so one pump serves a small pail and a full-height drum. Aluminium matters because that tube stands in the fluid; a steel one rusts from the inside and drops the rust into whatever you pump next. A bottom filter screens sediment first.
What it will move, and what the supplier does not cover
The stated fluids are diesel, kerosene and motor oil. Flow is quoted at 6 gallons per minute without saying whether those gallons are US or imperial, so treat it as a guide rather than a figure to plan around. Petrol appears nowhere in the specification, and it should not be assumed: petrol gives off vapour at ambient temperature and needs equipment built and earthed for it.
Key features
- No electricity: works in a paddock, on a boat or in a shed with no power.
- Bottom filter: catches debris in used oil before it reaches the pump.
- Reinforced hose: 39.4 in (about 1 m), reaching a jerry can beside the drum.
- Timber handle: less sting in a long transfer.

- Delivery hose: 39.4 in (about 1 m), reinforced
- Materials: aluminium alloy tube, zinc-plated fittings
- Fluids stated: diesel, kerosene, motor oil
- Petrol: not stated
- Operation: manual
What's in the box
- Pump body, three-stage suction tube, delivery hose and bottom filter
- Connectors, assembly tools and storage case
Handling fuel and oil safely
- Pump in the open air or a well-ventilated space, away from any ignition source. No naked flame, no grinding or welding nearby, no smoking.
- Fluid moving through a hose builds static. Keep the drum and the receiving container earthed and in contact with each other where you can.
- Wear gloves and eye protection. Used motor oil irritates skin and diesel strips it dry.
- Petrol compatibility is not stated anywhere in the supplier information. Do not use this pump on petrol on the assumption that a diesel pump will cope.
Suits farm sheds, workshops, marine engines and generator refills, wherever a drum must be emptied with no power nearby.
