Before you make up an eye

• A thimble is a wear component, not a termination. The eye still needs a correctly sized ferrule or wire rope grip, and none are included in this pack.
• No load figure and no standard are quoted for these, so nothing here should be read as a rated assembly.
• Match the thimble to the cable. A 2 mm thimble on thicker rope leaves the strands unsupported right at the turn.
• Replace any thimble that has been crushed flat, cracked or pulled out of shape rather than reusing it.
• Not vehicle recovery hardware. Recovery loads belong on purpose-built recovery gear attached to rated recovery points.
