Two faces, two jobs

One side is microfibre that soaks up product and works it into a lather. The other is a bristle face for agitating a mark out of a textured surface. Agitate with the bristles, flip to the microfibre, and lift the loosened dirt and foam away before it dries back. One pad then handles both the smooth vinyl above the trim line and the grained plastic below it.

Puts the cleaner where the dirt is

Because product goes onto the pad rather than the panel, the amount used stays under control and overspray stops landing on the windscreen, the headlining or a section already finished. On a hot day that matters more, since cleaner misted onto a warm surface begins drying before it can be worked. The block shape also puts more fabric on the surface than a handled brush, so a boot liner or a seat base goes faster.

Before you use these

• The supplier's own text calls the bristle face both soft and "long, stiff". Assume the stiffer reading and test a hidden patch before working on leather, gloss black trim or a soft-touch dash.
• Rinse the pad between panels. Grit held in a bristle face is what scratches, not the pad itself.
• No cleaning product is included. Use a cleaner rated by its own maker for the surface concerned, and follow that label.
