Taking a fuel pressure reading means finding somewhere to take it from. Tapping a rail is a workshop job on most engines, so the practical alternative is to splice a tee into the line and put the sender in the branch. This fitting is that tee: two 3/8" barbs in line, with a 1/8-27 NPT port on the third leg.
Both barbs, quoted as supplied
The supplier gives the barb size as 3/8" (9.5mm I.D) and the port as 1/8-27 NPT. Those figures are published here exactly as printed, with nothing converted or rounded in either direction. The barbs themselves are ribbed rather than smooth, which is what lets a hose clamp pull the rubber down into the grooves instead of simply squeezing a plain tube. Two clamps come in the box, described by the supplier as suiting tight-fitting installations.
304 stainless, and the lines the supplier names
The body is 304 stainless steel, chosen by the supplier for corrosion resistance. As for where it goes, the source names three applications and only three: fuel line, transmission coolant line and carburettor line. That list is worth taking literally. Nothing in the data addresses ethanol blends, brake fluid, engine oil, engine coolant or compressed air, and no claim about any of them is made here.
Key features
- 1/8-27 NPT branch: a sender or gauge line screws into the port directly.
- Matched 3/8" barbs: both in-line legs are the same size, so a single hose runs through.
- 304 stainless body: the grade the supplier specifies.
- Two clamps included: supplied in the box per the supplier's contents list.

What's in the box
- 1 x fuel pressure T-fitting adapter

Before this goes into a pressurised line
- Fuel and transmission cooling lines run under pressure and get hot. Selecting hose and clamps that suit the pressure, the temperature and the fluid in your own system is the installer's responsibility, and this fitting carries no published rating to match them against.
- No pressure rating of any kind is published for this adapter. Do not assume it matches the rating of whatever hose you connect to it, in either direction.
- The supplier names fuel, transmission coolant and carburettor lines. It names no other fluid, and no suitability for fuel injection systems, ethanol blends, brake fluid, oil or engine coolant is stated or implied.
- "Ph lock" appears in the title and throughout the supplier's text without ever being defined. It is reproduced as printed and should not be read as a standard or a rating.
- A leaking fuel connection is a fire risk. Have the work done by someone competent and pressure-test the join before the vehicle is driven.
One tee, two clamps, and a proper place to read pressure from instead of a rail tapping.
