Decanting fuel sensibly

• Petrol vapour ignites readily. Fill in the open air, away from flames, heaters and cigarettes, with the engine off.
• Pour slowly so fuel does not back up the neck, and keep the can resting against the vehicle to limit static build-up.
• Withdraw the funnel and let it drain before stowing it, and keep it away from anything hot.

Worth having in the vehicle before the day it is needed, rather than the day after.
