Backing a trailer onto a ball in the dark with nothing but tail lights to go by is how most people end up buying a pair of these. Two 6-inch flood lamps, 1,650 lumens each, aimed at the ground you actually need to see rather than the horizon.

A wide wash rather than a long throw

The optics run a 60-degree flood pattern, which is deliberately short and broad. That is the right shape for reversing, hitching up, working around the tray or lighting a camp — a spot beam in the same spot would put a bright disc on one patch of dirt and leave everything either side black. Six CREE 3 W emitters at 5700 K do the work behind a hard-coated Lexan lens, so a flicked stone dents rather than shatters it.

Small, light and sealed

Each lamp weighs 250 grams, so mounting is a bracket and two bolts rather than a reinforcement job — they will sit on a tray rail, a bull bar tab, a roll bar or a nudge bar without loading it. The housing is a cast A360 face plate on an extruded aluminium heat sink, sealed to IP68 and rated from -40°C to 60°C. Both 12 V and 24 V systems are supported, so the same pair can move from a ute to a truck.
