Each globe runs twelve 2525-series LED emitters rather than one coiled filament, and the supplier rates the output at 1000 lumens. LEDs strike instantly too, with none of the warm-up lag an HID has, which counts on a dark road when you flick to high beam. The die-cast aluminium body does two jobs at once: housing, and heatsink pulling warmth off the chips so output does not sag as the globe heats up.

Runs on 12 V and 24 V alike

The supplier states a DC 12-24 V range, so the same globe suits a car, a 4WD and a 24 V truck with no converter in between, and fitting is a straight swap into the existing socket. One caution on the numbers: 24 W is quoted alongside a 0.4 A draw, and those two cannot both be right. Both appear below as supplied, but treat the wattage as nominal.

Before you fit these

• Colour temperature is quoted at 6500-7500 K, above the point where white output shifts visibly towards blue. Colour restrictions apply to forward-facing and rear lighting and vary by state. Confirm the requirements for your vehicle and state before fitting for road use.
• This is an LED emitter going into a housing built around a halogen filament. The supplier does not substantiate the beam pattern, so check aim and glare once fitted.
• Confirm your existing globe is an H3 before ordering.
• The supplier's copy calls the globe waterproof but publishes no IP rating. Treat exposed mounting positions with care.
