Finding something in a footwell at 2 am usually means switching on the dome light and waking everyone else in the cabin. A directional spot avoids that. Each of these lamps carries its own switch and a head that swivels, so the light lands where one person needs it and nowhere else.

A head that points where you point it

The lamp head turns a full 360 degrees around its base and tilts through 180 degrees, which between them cover any angle reachable from a fixed mounting point. That is the practical difference between a reading light and a cabin light. Mounted above a bunk or beside a passenger seat, the beam can be aimed at a book, a switch panel or a locker without moving the fitting itself. Each lamp switches independently, so one can be on while the other stays dark.

Three watts, aluminium body

Draw is 3 W per lamp on a DC 12 V supply. Small enough that an hour of reading with the engine off barely troubles a house battery, and small enough that heat never becomes an issue in the aluminium body. The base measures 60 mm across and stands 16.5 mm proud, with the lamp reaching 96 mm at full height. Finish is silver. Two lamps are supplied, covering both sides of a bed or two seating positions.

Before you fit these

• The title specifies 3000 K, a warm white, while the supplier specification lists the light colour only as "white". Both are published above as given. If the exact tone matters to your fit-out, check with us before ordering.
• Supply is DC 12 V. The supplier lists no 24 V operation, so these should not be wired into a 24 V truck system.
• No IP rating is published. Treat them as interior fittings and keep them clear of direct weather.
