Nitrile is named, and then the paperwork stops

NBR is nitrile rubber, the usual choice for fuel work because it copes with hydrocarbons where natural rubber swells and goes soft. The listing names the compound, then goes quiet. Nothing on this page quotes a hose standard: no SAE number, no J30 class, no R-rating. Nor is there any word on ethanol-blended petrol, which matters at every Australian bowser pouring E10. Wall thickness, reinforcement and bend radius are absent too.

Before this goes anywhere near a fuel system

• The supplier prints exactly one caution, and here it is unaltered: Please check the working pressure and temperature of your system before purchase. There is no fire caution, no spillage caution and no clamp-torque figure to go with it.
• No hose standard appears anywhere on the record. For a fuel line that absence outweighs every other, since a standard is what tells you which fuels and what duty cycle the rubber was built to survive.
• Ethanol is not addressed. If your fuel is an E10 blend, nothing here confirms the compound suits it.
• The bore is stored as 1/4 inch (6 mm). A quarter inch measures 6.35 mm, so read 6 mm as the trade's nominal size for that bore and not as arithmetic. Both figures sit above exactly as stored.
• The pressure sentence reads Working pressure:300 psi with the space after its colon gone, while Burst Pressure: 1160 psi a few words later keeps its space. That class of fault is loss: something has gone missing while nothing else was disturbed, and every digit survives intact. We set the number out properly in the list above and leave the broken token where it sits.
• Black is the word used to sell the hose higher up. The supplier does not use it at all, and commits to no colour whatever.
• Fuel-resistant and cut to length both come from the search description alone. The supplier's own copy lists fuels without using the first phrase, and gives no cutting instruction, no tool guidance and nothing about sealing a cut end.
• No clamp is mentioned, so assume none arrives.

Taken on what it states rather than what it implies, this is a nitrile line with real pressure and temperature figures behind it for small-engine work, sold without the standards paperwork you would want before putting it near a road vehicle.
