The name flags that in brackets; the description flags it in four words right at the end, no charge and battery. What arrives can therefore work in one of the two ways offered, off the vehicle through a three-metre lead into the cigarette lighter socket, while the cordless half sits waiting on a 20 V pack and a charger you must source elsewhere.

Which battery, though

Unanswered. Battery model, series name, cross-reference and any statement of which 20 V packs will seat in it are all missing, so anyone who already owns cordless tools is left unable to judge whether theirs fits. The charger goes undescribed on precisely the same terms. Should the cordless side be your reason for looking, ask the seller which battery platform this takes before ordering.

A hundred and sixty PSI, and nothing about how long

The maximum is given twice over, as 160 PSI and as 11 bar, the metric figure to whole units only. Auto-stop is the feature this name is built around, and its bullet has the pump stopping at the specified pressure while never explaining how a pressure gets specified, what the display accepts, or which units it works in. Duty cycle is equally absent: no run time, no rest interval, no cooling limit.

Before you take it to a tyre

• Not one warning is printed anywhere on this product, for a pump rated to take a tyre to 160 PSI.
• Duty cycle, continuous-running limit and any advice about letting it cool are all missing.
• Inflation rate goes unstated, in litres per minute or in CFM, which leaves how long a tyre takes unanswerable.
• Hose length is unprinted; the sole length quoted belongs to the cigarette-lighter lead.
• The pressure reading arrives with no accuracy figure, on a gauge sold for being digital.
• How a target pressure gets entered, and which units the display works in, are both left out.
• Neither the pump's dimensions nor its weight is recorded.
• One adaptor line has lost a letter: the tyre-valve adaptor is stored as tire vale adaptor. We have not repaired it and have not guessed at anything else in that line.
• INGCO is named by the listing, though never by the description. A warranty period is named nowhere at all, and neither is a factory or a country.
• Not one figure above arrives with a measuring allowance attached to it.

Call it a mains-free workshop pump that also happens to run from the car, and price the battery and charger in separately before setting it beside a cordless kit that ships with both.
