Fitting an aftermarket steering wheel to a golf cart always fails at the same place: the wheel's bolt circle has nothing in common with the splined shaft on the column. Something has to bridge the two. That is what this black aluminium hub does, and the supplier lists it for the EZGO TXT and RXV.

Five-hole and six-hole wheels

The adapter is stated to accept steering wheels drilled for five bolts and for six, which covers a good spread of aftermarket cart and marine wheels. Bolt count is only half the question though, because the bolt circle diameter has to match as well, and the supplier does not publish one. Count the holes in the wheel you intend to use and measure across the pattern before ordering. The wheel itself is not part of the deal: the pack is the adapter on its own.

Aluminium under an electrophoretic coating

The body is aluminium, finished by electrophoresis, which the supplier states is there to resist corrosion and heat. On a cart parked in the open under a canopy, the top of the column gets genuinely hot and the adapter sits right in it. An electro-deposited coating lays down evenly into recesses and around thread starts, exactly the places a sprayed finish goes thin and begins to lift. Aluminium also keeps mass off the end of the column, which does more for steering feel than it does for strength.
