Instead of one elastic sleeve, the cover comes as three shells that click into place around the rim, which is what makes the install quick and repeatable — take it off to clean the wheel underneath and it clips straight back on. It suits middle-sized wheels, 14 to 16 inches (roughly 35.6 to 40.6 cm) across, a wider band than a stretch-on cover, since each piece only has to seat over its own section of rim.

A textured grip for sweaty or gloved hands

The surface has a woven, carbon-fibre-look finish with a raised, contoured texture, and at around 2.5 mm thick it adds grip without bulking the wheel out. An anti-slip inner lining keeps the shell seated once it's clipped in. It's rated heat- and cold-resistant, though the supplier notes it will slightly slow how fast the wheel warms up on a cold start, since it's now covered rather than bare.
