A wheel rim that has gone shiny and slightly tacky is one of the first things a hot car park does to an interior, and retrimming one costs far more than most people expect. A segmented cover is the cheap way out — provided your rim measures between 14.5 and 16 inches, which is 36.8 to 40.6 cm across.
36.8 to 40.6 cm across, and nothing else
That band is the entire fitment specification. Supplier copy also claims it suits 99% of steering wheels across sedans, SUVs, trucks and vans, but the measured band is the part worth acting on: a rim outside it either refuses to go on or will not stay put. Lay a tape across the outside of your rim, edge to edge, before ordering — larger 4WDs and older light commercials frequently run above 40.6 cm.
Carbon-look, not verified carbon fibre
The source calls the material carbon fibre but publishes no weave, no resin system and no test behind the word. What is documented is the appearance — a carbon-pattern face — and a set weight of 110 g. Treat it as carbon-look trim rather than a structural composite. Sweatproof and heat-resistant are the supplier's descriptions too, with no figure attached to either.
Key features
- Segmented construction: sections go on individually, with no sleeve forced over the airbag boss.
- No tools, no adhesive: the stated method is fitting one segment and then the next.
- Four colours: white, blue, red or black, each its own variant at its own price.
- Hides existing wear: covers a cracked or faded rim without a retrim.

Fitting checks worth doing
- Fit has to be tight. Once on, take a firm hold and try to turn it on the rim; any movement at all means the diameter is wrong.
- Anything that rotates under your palms is worse than a bare rim: the wheel stops telling you where the front tyres point.
- Keep every segment off the centre pad, which carries the airbag module and horn, and clear of paddles, stalks and wheel buttons.
- The source claims better grip and greater driving safety. No test sits behind either, so neither is repeated here.
One discrepancy worth knowing: the title says three pieces, while the supplier's fitting instructions name only a left and a right segment. Check the photographs for the piece count before you order.
