A trailer floor or a ute tray with nowhere to hook a strap turns every load into a guessing game — you end up tying off to a rail and hoping. These six D-ring anchors bolt down wherever you want them, so each strap gets a defined point to pull against instead of whatever happens to be nearby.
Carbon steel body, and a finish worth checking
Each ring is pressed from carbon steel, the material doing the work when a strap loads up and tries to lever the anchor out of its mounting. The supplier calls the surface galvanised and says it shrugs off rust, oxidation, heat and cold, and wipes clean easily. Worth knowing before you order: the title describes the rings as black while the description describes a galvanised surface, so the two do not agree. Check the product photos for the finish you will actually receive. Ring dimensions are 85 by 63 mm, with a 12 mm mounting hole.
What the 300 kg figure does and doesn't tell you
The supplier quotes 300 kg per ring. It does not say whether that number is a working load limit or a breaking figure, and no standard is named anywhere in the source, so treat it as an unqualified supplier claim rather than a rating. Two other things matter just as much. Nuts and screws are not supplied, so the strength of the finished anchor depends entirely on the fasteners you choose and what you bolt into. And these are tie-down anchors for restraining cargo — not vehicle recovery points.
Mounts to timber or metal in minutes
Installation is a matter of marking out, drilling the screw holes and fixing the ring to timber or a metal panel. The D shape leaves a clear opening for a hook, cam-buckle strap, rope or bungee cord, which is what makes these useful across such a range of jobs — the supplier lists utes, trucks, vans, campers, boats, trailers, kayaks and ATVs. Six in a pack is usually enough to lay out anchor points along both sides of a trailer floor. They also do duty as wall hooks in a garage, shed or workshop.
Key features
- Six per pack: enough to set out anchor points along a whole tray rather than one corner of it.
- Carbon steel construction: the supplier's stated material for taking repeated strap loads.
- 12 mm mounting hole: takes a substantial bolt, so the fixing can be matched to what you are mounting into.
- Galvanised surface: described as resistant to rust, oxidation, heat and cold, and easy to wipe down.
- Open D profile: accepts S-hooks, cam-buckle strap ends, rope and bungee cords.

Before you fit these
- Nuts, bolts and screws are not supplied. The anchor is only ever as strong as the fastener and the material behind it.
- The 300 kg figure has no stated basis and no standard is named, so do not read it as a certified rating.
- For load restraint only. Never use a lashing ring as a vehicle recovery point — recovery loads must run through rated recovery points and rated gear, never a tow ball, tow bar tongue or bumper.
- Look over the rings and their fixings before each trip and replace anything cracked, bent or with an elongated hole.
Six anchors, a drill and a handful of bolts turns a bare floor into something you can strap a load to properly.
