Track marshals want a visible loop they can hook a rope to when a car needs shifting off the circuit, and most road bumpers give them nothing to grab. This bolt-on nylon loop fills that gap. It is a marshalling and light-towing fitting, not a rated 4WD recovery point.
Double-needle nylon on a steel bracket
The webbing is double-stitched nylon, folded into a 26 cm long, 5 cm wide loop and clamped between steel brackets that take the mounting hardware. Nylon is used here because it resists abrasion and shrugs off road salt and moisture, which a bare steel eye does not. The strap is dyed bright red so it can be found quickly on a dark or dusty car. What the supplier does not publish is any load figure — no breaking strength, no working load limit, no test basis at all — so treat it as a light-duty fitting.
Fitting it means modifying the car
Installation is a screw-and-nut job; the kit ships with the mounting screws and the supplier says it goes together with basic tools. Be clear about what that involves, though. The supplier's own text says some vehicles need the bumper removed and a hole drilled to mount it. That is a permanent modification to a body panel, and a bumper is a cosmetic cover, not a structural anchor. Anything beyond gently rolling a car on a flat surface belongs on a purpose-built rated recovery point bolted to the chassis.
Key features
- 26 × 5 cm loop: big enough for a gloved hand or a marshal's hook, small enough not to flap at speed.
- Double-needle nylon webbing: two rows of stitching share the load across the fold rather than one seam carrying it.
- Steel brackets included: the webbing is clamped at the mounting point rather than relying on stitching alone.
- Bright red: stands out against dark paint and is easy to point out to whoever is doing the towing.
- Hardware supplied: mounting screws come in the box.

Read this before fitting
- No load rating of any kind is published for this strap. Do not assume one and do not calculate one.
- A bumper is not a rated recovery point. Snatch recoveries, winching and anything that shock-loads the vehicle must be taken from rated recovery points designed and mounted for that job — never from a tow ball, a tow bar tongue, a bumper or this strap.
- Fitting may require removing the bumper and drilling. Check what your vehicle needs first, and make sure you are not drilling into a crash structure, reinforcing beam, sensor or wiring loom.
- The supplier says it suits almost any vehicle, but publishes no fitment list. Confirm the mounting position on your own car before you buy.
- Check the fasteners for tightness after the first few outings, and inspect the webbing for fraying, cuts and sun damage.
Sold here as what it is: a visible, bolt-on nylon loop for track and light towing duties, with the mounting hardware included.
