Halogen H4 globes fade long before they fail. The filament dulls, the beam shortens, and you notice it first on an unlit road where the edge of the bitumen quietly disappears. This two-globe kit is a direct H4 conversion, dropping COB LED emitters into the fitment your reflector already takes.

Three light faces instead of one filament

Each globe carries three COB chip faces rather than a single filament, and the supplier gives the spread as 270 degrees on low beam and 360 on high. Wrapping emitters around the base fills the reflector from more angles, so light bounces off the whole bowl rather than a narrow strip of it. Colour temperature is 6000 K, a hard white rather than halogen yellow, which is why painted lines read more sharply.

Heat decides how long it lasts

An LED globe lives or dies on how fast it sheds heat. This one uses a 6063 aluminium profile as the conduction path with a 12,000 rpm fan behind it: the profile pulls heat out across its whole surface, the fan moves air through it. The supplier rates the assembly from -40 to 80 degrees Celsius and quotes over 50,000 hours.

Before you fit these

• The power figures contradict each other — 36 W in the title against 2000 W per set in the supplier's specification. Treat the draw as unverified and check your loom and fusing before wiring anything in.
• The 300,000 lm figure is the supplier's own and is not independently verified.
• This is an LED emitter going into a housing built around a halogen filament, so the beam shape depends entirely on your reflector. Aim the headlights against a wall after fitting, and confirm the requirements that apply to your vehicle and state before using them on the road.
• The globes carry a fan and driver body behind the base. Check there is clearance behind your headlight and that the dust cap still seats.
• Don't handle the glass of the halogen globe you remove — skin oil shortens its life if you ever refit it.

Supplied as a pair for one vehicle. Check what your car runs now before ordering; H4 is a specific fitment and won't suit an H7 or H11 housing.
