Straight into the H1 socket

Heat is what kills an LED globe

• The supplier lists output power as 100 W, close to double the 55 W a standard H1 draws. Check that the headlight wiring, connector and housing on your vehicle can carry the extra current and heat before fitting.
• The same listing also states that 51.5 W is equivalent to an 80 W tungsten lamp, and gives a 12 V safety voltage against a 12-24 V working range. The supplier's figures are published here as written; treat the power rating as unconfirmed.
• This is an LED emitter going into a housing designed around a halogen filament. The supplier makes no claim about the resulting beam pattern, and none is made here.
• At 6000 K the output is white rather than the yellower light of a halogen. Requirements for the colour and output of forward-facing lighting vary by state - confirm the requirements that apply to your vehicle and state before fitting for road use.
