A faded H4 halogen on a bike is a real safety problem. The edge of the road arrives late, and oncoming traffic picks you up later still. These are COB LED globes on an H4 base, supplied as a pair, carrying high and low beam on the one unit.
Two light faces on one base
Each globe carries COB LED chips on two faces, which is how a single unit covers both filaments an H4 replaces. There is no ballast, driver box or extra loom; the supplier describes it as a direct plug-in with nothing else required, so the job stays a globe swap. The body measures about 80 mm long and 17 mm across, so clearance behind the reflector is worth measuring first.
What the numbers actually say
The supplier publishes 900 lumens, 12 W and 6500 K, but never says whether the lumen and wattage figures are per globe or per pair, so they stay unqualified here. The electrical data does not add up either: a listed output of 12 V at 0.62 A falls well below the quoted 12 W, and the operating range is given as 9-80 V DC on a product titled as 12 V.
Key features
- H4 fitment: replaces an H4 globe only, so check what the headlight currently runs.
- High and low beam in one unit: two COB faces, as an H4 halogen has two filaments.
- No ballast or driver: the supplier states no additional hardware is required.

What's in the box
- 2 x H4 COB LED globes
Before you fit these
- This is an LED retrofit into a housing designed for a halogen filament. The supplier publishes no beam pattern, so how the light falls in your reflector can only be judged once it is in and aimed against a wall.
- At 6500 K the output sits at the cool end. Colour temperature restrictions apply to forward-facing lighting and vary by state. Confirm the requirements that apply to your vehicle and state before fitting for road use.
- The supplier lists an operating range of 9-80 V against a 12 V title. If your bike or scooter runs anything other than a 12 V system, check with the supplier first.
- Aim the headlight after fitting, not before.
Sensible if the existing H4 has faded and a spanner is a cheaper answer than a new headlight.
