Trailer and tipper lamps lead a hard life. They get clipped by a gate post, buried in mud, hosed down at pressure, and eventually the lens goes milky and the earth corrodes green. Each lamp carries five separate sections: tail, brake, indicator, reverse and fog. Globes, and the flexibility that brings

These take conventional globes rather than fixed LED boards, and that is what allows the same lamp to run on either a 12 V or a 24 V system — the voltage is set by the globes you fit, not by the lamp. The supplier specifies standard R5W, R21W and R21/5W globes, which are stocked at any parts counter and any decent servo on a highway. Globes are not supplied with the lamps, so order them at the same time.

ABS body sized for a chassis rail

The housing measures 350 mm long, 135 mm wide and 85 mm deep, with fixing screws set 150 mm apart. Check those figures against your existing mounting plate before ordering, since a lamp this size bolts to a fixed bracket rather than a flexible panel.
