Spread across 228 chips, not concentrated in one

Each bar carries 228 LED chips along a 42 cm strip, and that layout is the point: a lot of small emitters behind a high-transparency PVC diffuser produce a broad, soft field rather than the hot spot you get from a handful of bright ones. Behind the diffuser sits an aluminium alloy plate that doubles as the heatsink. LEDs dim and age faster when they cook, so pulling heat straight out through the backing plate is what supports the 50,000-hour service life the supplier quotes.

Two ways to mount, one switch each

At 1.3 cm deep the bar clears most ceiling linings and cargo barriers, so it goes where a domed fitting will not. Adhesive tape handles smooth painted panels; the screw-fixed brackets are the better choice on textured plastic, inside a tray canopy, or anywhere heat and vibration will eventually work at the tape. Each bar has its own push-button switch built in, so one over the galley and one over the bed can be run independently, with no dash switch to wire.
