900kg Swivel Hydraulic Crane Hoist 12V Electric Jack

Getting an outboard, a bagged load or a lump of machinery into a ute tray usually means finding a second set of hands or borrowing a forklift. This swivel crane bolts to the tray, a service body or a trailer deck and does the lifting on 12 volts, so one person can handle what took two.

Two lifting systems, two sets of numbers

The crane pairs a hydraulic pump with a 12 V electric winch, and the supplier rates them separately: the pump at a maximum 900 kg, the winch at a maximum 450 kg on a single cable and 800 kg doubled. Listed capacity for the crane overall is 900 kg. Work to whichever figure matches how you have rigged the load rather than the largest number on the page, and read those ratings as belonging to one crane on one mounting point.

Mounts in a tray corner and swings the full circle

The base takes up 270 mm x 270 mm — a corner of a tray, not half of it. From there the crane swivels through 360 degrees, so a load lifted off the ground on one side can be set down anywhere in the arc without moving the vehicle. Lift height base to hook is 1785 mm on a 6 metre cable of 5 mm wire, folding to 1350 mm when idle. The crane detaches from its base, which matters if the ute sleeps on the street.

Before the first lift

• Never stand or work beneath a suspended load, and keep everyone clear of the swing arc while the crane is powered.
• The capacities above are quoted separately for pump and winch. Do not combine them.
• One line of supplier copy claims a 3000 lb maximum lift on the cable winch. It contradicts every rated figure above; do not rely on it.
• The mounting point carries the whole load. Fix it to structure, not to tray floor sheet.

Worth a look if you load heavy gear alone and have a deck solid enough to mount it to. Rig to the lowest rated figure that applies.
