Four positions are marked along it, listed as 0.5T, 1T, 1.5T and 2T. Every figure here is the supplier's, quoted without conversion. Work out where your engine sits on that scale before the chains go on, because the headline 2 tonne rating applies only with the boom pulled right in.

Folds away once the motor is out

An engine crane spends most of its life in the way, so a folding frame is the difference between a tool you keep and one you sell on.
