Tuning without a wideband is guesswork with better vocabulary. A standard oxygen sensor only reports rich or lean either side of one switching point, which says little under boost. This kit puts a full-range air/fuel figure on the dash instead.

It brings its own sensor

Rather than piggybacking on the vehicle's existing sensor, the kit ships with a wideband oxygen sensor of its own, the harness to run it and a mounting nut. That is why the number stays usable across the range instead of only near the switching point. The supplier describes the unit as a sensor controller as well as a gauge, meaning there is no separate control box to mount.

Standard 2-1/16 inch body

The case is the 2-1/16 inch (52 mm) size that gauge pods and pillar mounts are built around, so mounting hardware is easy to source. Two fixing straps secure the unit and four butt connectors cover the wiring joins.
