Buy a fuel pressure gauge and you get a dial, a length of capillary or a sender, and no way at all to get it into the circuit. The port has to come from somewhere. This adapter provides one: a machined body that sits between two AN-6 connections and carries a threaded socket on its side for the instrument.
Where the 1/8 inch NPT port comes from
Almost every automotive pressure gauge and sender is cut to 1/8 inch NPT, which is why that is the size machined into the side of this body. Its ends are AN6 male on one side and -6 female on the other, and the AN thread size is published as 9/16-18UNF. Those three descriptions are printed above precisely as the supplier gives them. Nothing has been converted into millimetres, because a fitting thread quoted approximately is a fitting thread that will not seal.
The swivel end earns its keep in a tight bay
Working in the space between a rocker cover and an inner guard, the difference a swivel makes is not subtle. Tighten a fixed fitting onto a made-up braided line and the hose turns with it, storing twist along its whole length that never comes back out. The -6 female end here rotates independently, so the nut can be pulled up while the hose stays exactly where it was routed. On a short run between a rail and a regulator, that twist has nowhere to go, and the fitting on the far end wears it.
Two published numbers that this store contradicts
Maximum working pressure is quoted as 4000PSI, with a working temperature of -76°F to 572°F. Both appear here in the supplier's own units, unconverted, and neither carries a test standard, a method or a certifying body. That matters more than usual on this item, because three other listings of what appears to be the same take-off fitting are live in this store, and two of them publish a maximum of 1500 PSI. Nothing in any of the source data reconciles a difference of that size, so no figure among them can be treated as verified.
Key features
- Inline body: a gauge port added between two AN-6 connections with no hose cut.
- -6 female swivel: the nut pulls up while the hose stays put.
- 1/8 inch NPT socket: the thread automotive gauges and senders are almost always cut to.
- 9/16-18UNF AN thread: published by the supplier rather than left as a dash size.
- 6061-T6 aluminium alloy: the alloy printed in the supplier's specification.

Before you fit these
- Two thread types meet in this one part and they seal in opposite ways. The supplier recommends sealant or PTFE tape at the NPT port, and that recommendation stops at the port. The flare faces need a clean cone and correct tension, nothing else. Which sealant is right for your system is a decision for the person doing the work, not something the data settles.
- The pressure and temperature figures carry no basis whatsoever, and the store's own listings disagree with them. Design your system around a component rating you can independently confirm, not around this one.
- No fuel and no fluid is named in the supplier's data. No claim is made here that it suits petrol, diesel, methanol, an ethanol blend, engine oil or brake fluid. Establishing material compatibility for your own application comes first.
- A fuel circuit holds pressure long after the ignition is switched off. Relieve it by the correct procedure, collect whatever escapes, and keep flame and sparks well clear while the joint is open.
- Alloy threads pick up if they are forced. Engage them by hand and stop as soon as the joint pulls up. Pressure-test the assembly before the car is driven, and put the whole job to a workshop if any of this is new ground.
One machined body, one gauge port, and every published number reproduced exactly as it was given — disagreements included.
