Adding a fuel pressure gauge usually means cutting into a line and hoping the tee you have improvised will seal. This take-off fitting does the same job in a single machined piece: it goes inline between two AN-6 lines and gives you a 1/8 inch NPT port to screw the gauge or sensor into.
Every thread on it, as published
Three threads are involved and the supplier states all three. One end is 6AN male flare, and the 6AN thread size is given as 9/16-18 UNF. The other end is a -6 female swivel, so a line can be oriented without twisting the hose behind it. The gauge port is 1/8 inch NPT. The two sealing methods are different, and that is the detail to understand: the supplier states the AN flare seals at a 37 degree angle, while the NPT thread is sealed with a 60 degree taper.
Sealant belongs on the NPT port only
The supplier's own recommendation is to use sealant or PTFE tape on the NPT port, and it is worth repeating because it is the joint people get wrong. A tapered pipe thread seals on the thread flanks themselves, so it needs a sealant. The AN flare does not, and tape on an AN thread simply stops the cone seating as it should. Which sealant suits the fuel and the pressure in your particular system is the installer's decision: the supplier names a type, not a product, and no fuel is named anywhere in its data.
Key features
- One-piece take-off: no improvised tee, no extra joints in the line.
- -6 female swivel end: orient the line without winding up the hose.
- 1/8 inch NPT gauge port: the common thread for fuel pressure gauges and sensors.
- 6061-T6 aluminium alloy: the material specified by the supplier.
- Published pressure and temperature figures: both quoted below exactly as supplied.

Fuel work carries real risk
- A fuel system holds pressure after the engine is switched off. Depressurise it properly before opening any joint, and be ready for what comes out when you do.
- The 1,500 PSI maximum working pressure and the -40°F to 250°F temperature range are the supplier's own figures, given with no standard or test behind them. They are reproduced here exactly as supplied, and nothing is converted, interpreted or extended beyond them.
- No fuel is named in the supplier data — not petrol, not diesel, not E85, not methanol — and no claim is made here that this fitting suits any particular fuel or any particular injection system. Confirm material compatibility for your own application before fitting.
- Choosing the sealant, tightening the joints correctly and pressure-testing the result are the installer's responsibility. Fuel and an ignition source in an engine bay is a fire, so if this is not familiar work, have a workshop carry it out.
- Aluminium threads gall. Overtightening is how these get ruined.
One inline fitting, three stated threads, and a gauge port exactly where the line already runs.
