Decanting from a jug into a bike tank or a mower is where fuel ends up on paintwork, on the ground and on you. A filler hose with a valve on the end turns that into a controlled pour.
You can see what is happening
The hose is thick-walled clear PVC, so the fuel column stays visible the whole way down. On a tank you cannot see into, that flow is your gauge: it tells you when the jug has emptied, when air is being drawn through, and when to close the valve. The PVC is specified to resist breaking, tearing and fading — what usually finishes off a cheap hose left in the sun on a trailer.
A valve and a filter at the working end
Each hose carries a single-sided iron clamp and a control valve, so flow stops at the hose instead of by tipping the jug back upright mid-pour. A built-in filter at the outlet catches debris before it reaches the tank — worth having on any container that has sat in a shed pulling dust in through its vent. The three elbow benders angle the outlet into a filler neck that will not take a straight run.
Key features
- Six hoses per pack: spares for the trailer and the shed.
- Three elbow benders: angle the outlet where a straight hose will not reach.
- Control valve on each hose: start and stop the pour without moving the jug.
- Built-in outlet filter: catches debris before it enters the tank.

Handling fuel safely
- Hose length is given two different ways in the supplier's own material: 14 inches in the product title, and about 15.55 in (39.5 cm) in the detail. Check the length you need before ordering rather than relying on either figure.
- Petrol vapour is heavier than air and ignites from a spark. Decant outdoors, clear of any flame, pilot light, running engine or hot exhaust, and do not smoke.
- Fuel moving through plastic builds a static charge. Stand a portable container on the ground rather than in a ute tray or on a tow bar, and keep the outlet in contact with the filler neck while pouring.
- No Australian fuel container or hose standard is named for this product. If you are carrying or decanting fuel in a vehicle, the compliance check is yours to make.
- Check every threaded joint and clamp for weeping before you tip a full jug.
Keep a couple made up and ready, and refuelling at the track or on the property stops being the messy part.
