Measure the pipe before anything else

This tip takes a 5 in (127 mm) outer diameter tailpipe and steps out to a 6 in (152 mm) outlet across an overall length of 15 in (381 mm). Outer diameter is the number that decides whether it clamps, so measure across the outside of your pipe with a tape or vernier, not the inside, and not over a rolled lip. The supplier's copy calls the tip universal in one line and engineered for a 5 in tailpipe in the next. Treat the 5 in inlet as the hard requirement.

Finish built for road spray

The body is stainless steel under a black powder coat, a tougher surface than paint and one that holds its colour instead of fading out behind a diesel. The end is cut on an angle with the edge rolled over, so there is no raw lip waiting to catch a hand at the tailgate. A drain hole underneath lets condensation escape rather than pooling in the bottom of the tip, which is where rust takes hold on cheaper items.
