• The supplier's copy calls this both a plug and a socket in different places, and the pack list says socket. Compare the photos with the fitting on your tow bar before ordering so you get the right half.
• The pin layout is the European N-type. If your vehicle or trailer uses a flat 7-pin or a different round standard, the two will not correspond and rewiring one end is not always the right answer.
• Trailer lighting is a road-safety circuit. Have the wiring done or checked by a qualified auto electrician, and test every function with the trailer connected before towing.
