Quarter-inch outside-diameter tube pushes into one end of this fitting and a 3/8 inch NPT thread screws into the other. Two materials are named for it in a single clause, nickel-plated brass and plastic, and which of them forms which part of the fitting is never said. On a push-in connector that has to hold pressure, that is not a cosmetic distinction.
The three pressures printed
Three pressures are printed. A proof figure of 3.0 megapascals, given also as 435 psi; a negative figure of minus 100 kilopascals, given as minus 29.5 inches of mercury; and a working figure, which is dealt with below. The temperature span runs from zero to 60 degrees Celsius, printed also as 32 to 140 Fahrenheit. Every one of those pairs converts exactly, to the precision the source prints.
The working pressure is two different pressures
The working line reads one megapascal on one side of the divider and 150 psi on the other. Those are not the same pressure: one megapascal comes to a little over 145 psi, and 150 psi comes to just over 1.03 megapascals. The gap is around three and a half per cent, and it is not rounding, because the other two pressure pairs and both temperatures on the same page are exact. Neither is set down here as the rating, and neither has been reconstructed.
Key features
- Tube in, thread out: quarter-inch outside diameter one end, 3/8 inch NPT the other.
- Body shape: female straight, stated as the style rather than an elbow or a tee.
- Two materials named: nickel-plated brass and plastic, credited jointly with corrosion resistance and ductility.
- Fluids admitted: air and water, with the water carrying a no-freezing condition.
- Tubing accepted: PU, PA, PE and PVC, given by abbreviation only.
- Vacuum figure: a negative rating down to minus 100 kilopascals is published alongside the positive ones.

Things to settle before it goes on the line
- Those two working-pressure figures are roughly three and a half per cent apart, with nothing on the page choosing between them. Work to the psi number and you sit above the megapascal one. Neither has been corrected, and neither should be taken as the rating until somebody confirms which was meant.
- The product name calls these hose fittings. The description says the fitting takes tube in PU, PA, PE or PVC and never uses the word hose. A push-in collet grips tube of a controlled outside diameter, and nothing here gives a wall thickness or an inside diameter you could check your own tubing against.
- How many fittings the pack holds is fixed by the name on the label, echoed in the summary, and stated nowhere inside the description.
- Leak-tight and reusable are claims from the search summary. The description makes neither, and on a push-in fitting whether it can be pulled apart and used again is exactly the thing worth confirming.
- An NPT thread is tapered and normally wants a sealant or tape on it. Nothing on the listing mentions tape, sealant or thread preparation of any kind, and nothing says whether any is supplied.
- Air and non-freezing water is the fluid list as written. It is a permission rather than a prohibition, and we have not turned it into one, but water that freezes inside a fitting is the case the condition is there to exclude.
- Nothing names the O-ring, grab ring or collet material. No standard is cited, no approval, and neither a dimension, a colour, a weight nor a maker turns up.
- Tolerances are printed against none of the figures above. The page concedes no margin at all, and no margin has been borrowed in.
- The temperature range is stored with a full-width character in place of the dash, and the pressure units are stored in three different casings, none of them the correct ones. Both are written out properly here rather than copied across.
Specified further than almost anything else of its kind on this shelf, and let down by one line of it: until the working pressure is settled, treat the proof and vacuum figures as the only pressure numbers on the page you can lean on.
