Half the 12 V gear that ends up in a four-wheel drive arrives with bare wires and no plug — a compressor, a camp light, a fridge fan someone has rewired. These are the plug end on its own, fused, so a proper accessory-socket connection can go on whatever you are wiring up.
A fuse where it does the most good
Each plug carries a 10 A fuse in a built-in holder at the tip, right at the power source, protecting the whole length of cable behind it. If an accessory shorts or a lead chafes through against a seat rail, the fuse goes rather than the wiring. It sits in a screw-apart body, so a blown fuse is a roadside swap rather than a rewire, and there is nothing to unbolt to get at it.
The light tells you the socket is live
An LED in the barrel comes on when the plug has power. That sorts out the sockets that die with the ignition, and it separates a flat accessory from a dead socket in about a second: if the LED is lit, the fault is downstream. Two plugs come in the pack, which suits how most people use them — one wired to the gear and one spare in the toolbox.
Key features
- Two per pack: enough for two accessories, or one in use and one spare.
- 10 A fuse fitted: in a replaceable built-in holder at the tip.
- Power indicator: an LED confirms the socket is live before you start fault-finding.
- Standard accessory fit: plugs into a conventional 12 V cigarette-lighter style socket.

- 2 x male 12 V accessory plugs
Wiring cautions
- The 10 A fuse sets the ceiling. Check what your accessory draws, and do not fit a larger fuse to make something work.
- The supplier specifies 12 V operation. Do not use these on a 24 V system.
- No lead or cable is supplied. These are the plug body only, to be wired to your own cable.
- Have anything tied into the vehicle's permanent wiring done by a qualified auto electrician.
Worth keeping a couple in the drawer, because the accessory that needs one always turns up mid-trip.
