Ignition leads left to lie against each other and against a hot manifold are how a new set turns into a misfire. These separators space them out and hold them there, so the looms run where you put them rather than where the engine shakes them.
Aluminium with a screw, not a plastic clip
The bodies are aluminium alloy and pinch shut on an Allen key. Plastic separators cost less and they go brittle: a couple of summers under a bonnet and the tabs snap the first time you try to open one. Metal does not, and a screw fixing means a separator can be released, slid along the lead and done back up without cutting anything or unclipping a loom. The set is finished in blue, which reads deliberately against a dark engine bay.
Twelve pieces, sized for 8, 9 and 10 mm leads
Lead diameter is the only fitment question here, and the supplier covers 8 mm, 9 mm and 10 mm — a range that takes in most silicone-jacketed performance leads along with many standard sets. Twelve separators are supplied, described as enough for an eight-cylinder engine, and the breakdown given is four long and eight short. Fewer cylinders simply means spares in the drawer. Measure the outside diameter of your own leads against those three sizes before ordering, because that figure is all you have to go on.

- 8, 9 and 10 mm lead sizes: the three diameters the supplier names.
- Twelve in the set: four long and eight short, per the supplier.
- Blue finish: visible against a dark engine bay.

Worth knowing before you fit them
- The supplier claims that separating leads improves ignition system performance. No test, measurement or figure is offered for that, so it is not repeated as a benefit here. What separators reliably do is stop leads chafing on each other and on hot components.
- Route leads away from the exhaust manifold and away from anything that moves. A separator holds a lead where you place it; it does not make a bad route safe.
- Fit them with the engine cold.
Route the leads once, clamp them where they belong, and stop chasing a misfire that was only ever a chafed jacket.
