Brush one side, sponge the other

The head is double-sided: a fixed brush face to break up packed grit, and a sponge face to lift out what the brush loosens. Working in that order matters. Sponging a dry track first just smears dirt further along the channel, while brushing first gives the sponge something loose to collect. Both faces sit on one handle, so nothing gets swapped halfway down a window run.

Sponges in a track cleaner get filthy fast, and a fixed one eventually turns the tool into a dirt spreader. This one is removable, so it can be rinsed, wrung out or swapped when it is past saving, which is also the more hygienic option on grout and shower channels. The handle is moulded from polypropylene, stiff enough to push hard into a track without flexing away from the work.
