• Surfaces it actually names are plastic, leather, upholstery, seats, dashboards, glass, mirrors, furniture and floors. Piano-black trim, instrument lenses and touchscreens are not among them.
• Any pad picks up grit off a floor mat. Rinse one out before it goes near a soft or glossy surface, and keep the pads used on footwells well away from those used on trim.
