Oxford shell over an EVA lining

The outer skin is oxford fabric, which takes abrasion from concrete, tow bars and toolboxes without splitting the way a thin plastic liner does. Inside sits an EVA waterproof lining, and that is what actually holds the water — the supplier states it prevents leaks and seepage in normal use with water and soapy solutions. A reinforced base and rim keep it standing when full.

Pick the capacity for the job

The four sizes are genuinely different containers rather than one bucket relabelled, running from 24 x 22 cm at 9 L to 28 x 30.5 cm at 20 L. The three smaller ones share a 24 cm diameter and simply grow in height, so they occupy the same footprint in a boot. For a two-bucket wash, a 20 L of rinse water alongside a smaller one for the mitt works well.

Handling limits

• Unfold fully and check the lining before the first fill, and keep it away from open flame or extreme heat.
• Do not fill past the stated capacity — overfilling costs it the stability that keeps it upright.
• Let it dry completely before folding it away to avoid mildew. Not intended for storing drinking water over extended periods, and colour may vary slightly between batches.
