A 300 amp feed to an amplifier or an inverter carries enough energy to set a cable alight if it ever finds a short. The fuse is the only thing in that circuit designed to fail first. Keeping six on the shelf turns a blown one into a five-minute job rather than a weekend off the road.
What the published ratings actually say
Two numbers are given and both deserve reading carefully. The current rating is 300 amps. The voltage rating is 32 volts, which the supplier states covers 12 volt and 24 volt systems. What is not published anywhere in the supplier data is an interrupt rating, sometimes written as AIC: the maximum fault current a fuse can safely break. No certifying body is named either. Neither gap is glossed over here, because on a high-current battery feed the interrupt figure is the one that decides how the fuse behaves in a genuine dead short.
Built for a hot, shaking engine bay
The material given in the body copy is tinned copper, and tinning is there for corrosion: bare copper under a bonnet or in a boat picks up a film of oxide, and that raises resistance at exactly the joint where you want it lowest. A high-resistance joint runs hot. The supplier describes the fuse as high temperature resistant and vibration resistant. Applications listed are car, SUV, truck and boat audio and video systems, plus stereos, CD players, speakers and inverters. Each fuse measures roughly 3.19 by 0.88 by 0.33 inches.
Key features
- Six per pack: one to fit and five put away for later.
- 300 A current rating: the supplier's figure, published as given.
- 32 V rating: stated by the supplier as suiting 12 V and 24 V systems.
- Tinned copper body: named for resistance to the oxide film that heats a joint.
- Format worth confirming: sold as an ANL fuse and also described as a blade fuse, which are different holder types.

Sizing the fuse is the installer's call
- A fuse is selected for the cable and the load it protects, never because it happens to fit the holder. Working out that combination is the installer's responsibility, and if it is unfamiliar ground an auto electrician should do it.
- No interrupt rating is published for these. On a large battery bank the available fault current can be enormous, and that figure is what separates a fuse that clears cleanly from one that does not. Ask the supplier for it before using these on a big system.
- Boats appear in the supplier's application list. Nothing here is described as marine approved, ignition protected, or listed to ABYC, UL or CE, and no such claim is made.
- Check the fuse body dimensions and the bolt hole spacing against your existing holder before ordering.
Six fuses to a pack, which is one in the circuit and the rest waiting in the toolbox.
